Iron Maiden
English heavy metal icons Iron Maiden are not done with their decades-long career just yet, brining their 16th studio album tour to New Zealand, Legacy of the Beast, also named aptly after the group's mobile game, launched in 2016, to New Zealand for one show only. The group consisting of Steve Harris, Dave Murray, Adrian Smith, Janick Gers, Bruce Dickinson, and Nicko McBrain have played to 39 countries since their tour began and after four years say they are excited to head back to New Zealand. Across the metal genre, many bands cite the group as their main influence, Avenge Sevenfold, Anthrax, and Slipknot all claim the band helped them come up with their own sounds. The group is often referred to as the biggest heavy metal band of all time and so it goes without saying, do not miss out.

Killswitch Engage
Playing support for the Maiden is Three-time Grammy® nominated American Metalcore band, Killswitch Engage. Rising to fame from a small town in Massachusetts they established themselves as a band in 1999, in 2004 they made waves with their album, The End of Heartache. Now with eight studio albums behind them and over four million record sales worldwide they have cemented themselves in the metal genre. Considered one of the heaviest metal groups since the likes of Metallica, they have a point of difference in their music, with lyrical themes that are largely about love, peace, and unity, setting themselves apart in the genre as they continue to stay away from following trends but rather carving their own path. Opening for Iron Maiden will truly set the tone for what is to be one big night of metal.
