Suicidal Tendencies Australia & New Zealand 2025 Details, Tickets & More
It is astounding to think that more than four decades have now passed since the release of the crossover thrash legends’ self-titled debut album. The long player subsequently etched itself into history as one of the bestselling and most popular punk rock albums ever released.
But of course, one glance at the band’s name is sufficient for even the uninitiated to realise this isn’t exactly an act that shies away from controversy.
That spirit of disruption will be more than welcome when the present iteration of Suicidal Tendencies – consisting of ever-present vocalist Mike Muir, long-serving lead guitarist Dean Pleasants, rhythm guitarist Ben Weinman, bassist Tye Trujillo, and drummer Jay Weinberg – makes its way to the Powerstation on Tuesday 18th November 2025.
The Suicidals are hardly unfamiliar with the Auckland venue; indeed, they first ripped local heads apart there way back in 1993, and have made multiple appearances at the Eden Terrace site through the years. So, their local return will simply mark the latest chapter of their long and glorious relationship with NZ audiences.
Listen To Suicidal Tendencies’ ‘Institutionalized’
It has been quite the journey for the Suicidals since the onset of the ‘80s, when the band was formed in Venice, California, and swiftly got to work on building a huge following among skateboarders who appreciated their brand of vicious hardcore.
Attendees of the upcoming Auckland concert can expect much the same authentic aesthetic, vibe, and outlook of the south Californian hood, that they brought to the States and the world way back then.
In the words of the inimitable Muir: “It’s not just the music, it’s life; it’s the attitude. We’re not here to fit in: we’re here to stand out.”
Special Guest: BIG NOTER
BIG NOTER is the recently unveiled new project of Aboriginal Australian artist Briggs. The full live band, which taps into the rapper’s hardcore, punk, and metal roots, consists of Briggs on vocals, alongside drummer Steve Smith, guitarist Leigh Davies, and Craig Strain on bass.
